2014 Seoul Tango Festival - Maestros

Javier Rodriguez y Noelia Barsi

Javier has been touring extensively in Europe and Asia since 1988 and he is one of the most sought after dancers and teachers in international festivals and workshops. He is known not only for his elegance, precision and musicality, but also for his pedagogy, which came as a result of his passion and respect to the traditions of Argentine tango. In an interview in "La Milonga", Javier was referred to as a "young" old milonguero - a dancer with the heart of an old milonguero in a young person's body. Javier has been coming to Korea to teach since 2007 and he is an integral part of Seoul Tango Festival.

Noelia Barsi was raised in the world of tango. She started dancing in shows in the milongas at age eleven. Her first partner was his brother Nahuel and they had toured extensively in Europe and in other parts of the world. Noelia has also performed in many of the top venues and shows in Buenos Aires as the lead dancer, including Teatro San Martin, Senor Tango, Cafe Tortoni, and Confiteria Ideal.

Fabian Peralta y Josefina Bermudez Avila

Fabian was very popular at the first three Seoul Tango Festivals from 2009 to 2011. After a two year hiatus we are very excited to welcome him back with Josefina. For the past couple years, Fabian & Josefina have grown into a very strong couple. Their dance is connected, precise, and full of joy and personal feeling. They have been touring many cities in the world and we very much look forward to their classes and dance in May.

Fabian was the salon champion of the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires in 2006. He was the creator and director of the tango show "Corporacion Tango" and has performed with some of the most famous tango companies such as Tangox2 and Copes Tango Copes. Josefina graduated from the New School of Contemporary Dance. She has been a part of several tango companies and shows, including "Tango Malambo". She had taught regularly at the Carlos Copello Tango School. With Fabian she has toured much of Europe, Asia, and North America.

Pablo Giorgini y Noelia Coletti

Pablo & Noelia began their tango career when they were 16 and 17 respectively. They are very seasoned performers and were chosen to perform at the Aichi World Expo in front of the Emperor of Japan and Princess of Holland. They have also conducted a tango workshop for the members of Cirque du Solei. In Buenos Aires they are very popular dancers and teachers. They run a regular Thursday practica called Practica De Querusa, and a separate practica for stage performers, both of which are extremely popular. They are coaches of the champion of 2006 Asia Tango Championship and the champion of the Metropolitan Championship in Bunoes Aires in 2010.

They are very friendly and like to dance a lot in the milonga. This May they will be coming to Seoul with the toddler twin daughter!
